Victorian short-stay rentals to be whacked with 7.5 per cent tax

Holidays in Victoria are about to become a whole lot more expensive with a new tax on short-term stays coming into effect from tomorrow.

 A 7.5 per cent levy will come into effect on short-stay rentals.Operators are terrified that the added fees could decimate an industry that's already struggling.
